I’m not remotely knowledgeable on such matters, but I like to pay attention to the cycles of the moon and the seasons. Perhaps it’s the play of light: extended summer evenings or a full moon traveling across my pillow, keeping me awake. More often I notice light’s absence: in the deep November afternoons, sending us off toward hibernation, or the monthly pause and reflect provided by three days of new moon darkness. These resonate with me. Taking time to notice and connect with these shifts helps me feel part of the natural world.
The New Moon – a Super Moon – with a full solar eclipse – all on the Spring Equinox? That get’s my attention! Many cosmic interpreters point to this particular configuration as a re-set button for life.
We’ve reached the end of a tough season. It brought lessons for sure, but even my most winter-loving friends are glad to see this one end.
The Equinox draws me to dwell on balance. Equal day and night. A fulcrum. A balance point in the year.
What can this super-charged cosmic spring-board reset to balance in your life?
Your body?
Your relationships – particularly your relationship with yourself?
Open to the darkness.
Invite its truths.
Allow for the balance of darkness and light.
Welcome Spring!*
*and a shout out to folks who’s up is my down, Welcome Autumn!
