One of the many things I love about my job is how it keeps me in a perpetual state of learning. I’m picky about my teachers (the ones I choose, anyway! Life has a way of giving me new and different teachers each and every day.) The yoga and healing field, like anywhere, has its share of big name teachers who offer great insights and inspiration. Yet in person, I’ve found too many interested in promoting their own name or brand rather than encouraging self care and healing in their students.
Which is one of the many reasons I’m so thankful to be able to study with Lee Albert. Lee shares the gift of self care through simple tools for pain relief. His kind, compassionate, humble and humorous approach has taught me as much, if not more, than his Integrated Positional Therapy Protocol technique training has. And that’s saying something.
And so it was a great pleasure to share my teacher with so many of my students and colleagues on Saturday – and to introduce Lee and his work to more people in our area.
Thanks to all who came to spend the afternoon!
